| Home | I am principal editor for this publication, the United Nations' major annual report on the state of education around the world, published by UNESCO. The Global Monitoring Report assesses progress towards the six Education for All goals to which more than 160 countries committed themselves at the World Education Forum in 2000 in Dakar, Senegal. It identifies effective policies and practices, draws attention to emerging challenges and seeks to promote international cooperation in favour of education.
